The CAS3 module is an important module in vehicles for two reasons. Firstly, it functions as an anti-theft system in your vehicle. For the vehicle to start the CAS, key, and the engine control unit (ECU or DME) need to be in sync.

Secondly, the CAS stores vehicle orders (VO). The VO is essentially the coding that knows and controls all the car’s features, like the DNA of a human. It has information about the type of transmission, extra features, VIN, engine type, etc.

Typical signs of a faulty CAS3:

No vehicle crank.
Vehicle not accepting the key.
Vehicle starts and stalls.
Yellow ELV steering lock on the dash.
– Key not working.

Once the CAS module fails, it will either require a repair or replacement unit. Repairs can typically be performed if the software on the unit is corrupt, which is often caused by failed software updates or when adding additional keys with incorrect tools. If there is physical hardware damage to the unit, potentially from water, it will likely require a replacement CAS unit.

– 1 working key
– DME

– Comprehensive test of your existing CAS module to diagnose the problem
– Mail-in testing service: Simply remove the original CAS module and mail it to us
– After testing, we will recommend a repair or replacement unit based on the results
– If no fault is found, your existing CAS module will be returned
– Return shipping is included in the price
